Online Pharmacy Technician Course & Certification

Overview

Are you detail-oriented and motivated? Looking for a change to the healthcare field? Pharmacy technicians work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist to dispense medication and provide information to customers. Pharmacy technicians typically work behind a pharmacy counter at a drugstore, grocery store, hospital, nursing home, or other medical facilities. This position involves working with pharmacists, patients, and occasionally pharmaceutical reps. If you are interested in getting into pharmaceuticals without spending years in school, this course may be the perfect fit for you.

The 100% online course curriculum includes learning the duties and responsibilities of the pharmacy technician and a pharmacist, including the standards of patient confidentiality and ethics governing pharmacy practice, knowing the pharmaceutical-medical terminology, abbreviations, and symbols commonly used in prescriptions and drug orders, learn the arithmetic calculations required for the usual dosage determinations and much more.

Upon course completion, students will need to pass the online certification exam to receive their Pharmacy Technician Certification. Our online classes offer national accrediting exams which allow students to work anywhere in the U.S. and Canada.
