New! Nationally Accredited Cardiac Monitor Technician course. This course will prepare students to work in as cardiac arrhythmia technicians in hospitals. The course comes with the national exam and 5.5 continuing education credit hours. All books and supplies included. Students have unlimited instructor support and 24/7 course access for up to 6 months. Students will receive two certifications, one through the school as a cardiac monitor technician and one at the national level as a CCAT (Certified Cardiac Arrhythmia Technician.)

Cardiac Monitor Technician $429


The Cardiac Monitor Technician course trains students to read and interpret cardiac rhythms. This is an entirely online class. Students will learn to read and interpret cardiac rhythms. This course includes all materials, videos, quizzes, books, calipers and national exam through the National Telemetry Association. Upon successful completion of this course students will be trained to work as cardiac monitor technicians. Cardiac monitor technicians work on telemetry floors in the hospital. They watch and interpret patients heart rhythms and notify the nurse of any abnormal arrhythmias.
This is a 40 hour class. Students will receive their book and calipers. Students will have 24/7 access to the course materials for up to 6 months. The national exam through the National Telemetry Association must be proctored. The instructor will provide the student with proctor sites in their city.
The course includes some of the following disciplines and topics;
Cardio pathophysiology
Diseases of the heart valves
vital sign assessment
reading an ECG strip
Analysis of rhythms, which include such arrhythmias as normal sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, atrial tachycardia, first degree heart block, second degree heart block, third degree heart block, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, Torsades de Pointes, pulseless electrical activity, asystole.
Student will also learn CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life support
Students will receive a hand sewn patch from the NTA, which will indicate their national accreditation
There are 5.5 Continuing education credits allotted for this course and the national exam.
Credentials that students will receive upon completion will be that of CCAT. (Certified Cardiac Arrhythmia Technician)
