About Phlebotomy Career Training

Building Healthcare Careers for More Than 20 Years

For more than two decades, Phlebotomy Career Training (PCT) has helped students build meaningful futures in healthcare. From our hometown of Dearborn, Michigan to students learning with us across the nation, our purpose has remained the same: to provide practical, career-focused medical education that helps people move forward with confidence.
PCT began in Garden City, Michigan, where our first location served students for 13 years. As our school grew, we moved to Dearborn and continued expanding the opportunities available to aspiring healthcare professionals. Today, we are proud to call Dearborn home and to support students both locally and nationwide through accessible, high-quality training.

Rooted in the Dearborn Community

Phlebotomy Career Training is more than a school. We are a committed community partner. PCT works alongside the City of Dearborn, participates in local community events, and is a member of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce.
Celebrating student achievement is an important part of who we are. Our graduation ceremonies are held at the Center for Performing Arts in Dearborn, where students, families, instructors, and community members come together to recognize the hard work behind every new healthcare career.
Every graduate represents a goal pursued, a challenge overcome, and a new opportunity created.
When our Grad Gallery is published, this is the ideal place to add the link: and celebrate the students who have completed their journey with PCT.

Education Designed for Today’s Healthcare Careers

At PCT, course quality is led by Dr. Nancy Kimmel, who spearheads the medical course curriculum and helps ensure that our programs remain practical, current, and focused on real-world healthcare needs.
We continue to grow and improve our curriculum through modern learning tools, including Moodle, a learning management system used by many colleges and universities across the United States. This gives students a structured, accessible learning experience while supporting the flexibility that adult learners often need.
Our students learn with state-of-the-art supplies and laboratory simulations designed to help them build confidence before they enter the workplace. Whether a student is training online or in person, our goal is to provide learning experiences that connect classroom knowledge with the skills employers value.

Giving Back Through Student Service

Service is part of the PCT experience. Over the years, Phlebotomy Career Training has given back to the community by offering free health checks at local events. These events also give our students the opportunity to gain volunteer hours, practice professional interaction, and serve the people around them.
We believe healthcare education should prepare students not only for a job, but also for the responsibility and pride that come with caring for others.

Our Mission: Helping Students Move Forward

At Phlebotomy Career Training, our mission is to help people who want to build a career in the medical field gain the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to pursue success. We understand that choosing a new path can feel overwhelming. That is why we work to remove barriers, offer supportive instruction, and create pathways that help students pursue gainful employment in healthcare.
Your goals matter here. Whether you are beginning your first healthcare career, building new skills, or preparing for a professional certification, PCT is ready to help you take the next step.

Student Success Stories

They gave me a lot of advice, and motivated me to take on a new job! Even with a lot of learning, they made the best of it and we had so much fun. They went out of their way for their students, and I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done for me. I definitely recommend. 10/10
