Virtual Simulation Kits Included!
Now, all phlebotomy students will get their own VSK (Virtual Simulation Kit) to keep. Students can feel confident that they are learning the correct set of skills specifically taught through Phlebotomy Career Training. Phlebotomy Career Training are the pioneers of evidenced based and patient friendly phlebotomy techniques. Each and every step of a blood draw or (venipuncture) is thoroughly researched and supported by clinical studies. Phlebotomy Career Training does not, “follow everyone else’s technique”. Rather PCT is the leader in the correct and safe phlebotomy technique.
Students have Plenty of time to Practice!
Students may keep their VSK’s (Virtual Simulation Kits). With the six months allotted for the the course, phlebotomy students can continue to practice with their kits and develop their skill level and techniques to be the best in their field. The transition to drawing on patients is much easier when students use the VSK.
Feedback from Instructors!
Students will submit their VSK simulation blood draws via a link which will be provided. Instructors will provide each student constructive feedback on their techniques as they progress through the course. Learning has never been more fun. Students get to meet with their instructors via Zoom and demonstrate in real-time how their phlebotomy skills are developing.
All the Supplies You Need to Get Started!
Phlebotomy Career Training’s VSK contains all the supplies that the student needs to develop their skills as a phlebotomist. The VSK contains a variety of different color tubes with various additives so that students can practice their order of draw as well as butterfly needles and straight needles and much more. The cost of this kit if sold separately would exceed $100.
Are you ready to become a Phlebotomist?
Nancy L. Kimmel obtained her PhD in Environmental Engineering in 2002, then went on to teach Physics and Mechanical Engineering at Lawrence Technological University, Henry Ford College and Oakland University. She obtained her Associate in Nursing from Henry Ford College and then went on to earn her Master Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner and became Board Certified working as a licensed FNP in the State of Michigan. She then went on to Medical School where she is now in her 3rd year, and is also in the process of obtaining her Doctorate in Nursing Practice through Chamberlin University. She has authored the NET Study Guide, as well a several books on subjects of Math, ECG/EKG and Phlebotomy. She holds a patent on an Air Filter through the U.S. Patent Office.
