A high school diploma or equivalent is recommended, but not required, as long as you are 18 or older. We offer two pathways for medical assistant training, so you can choose the learning environment that suits your needs.
This self-paced online medical assistant course gives you 24/7 access to course materials, instructor support by phone or email and up to six months to complete the 996 instruction hours. You will also need to complete a 204-hour clinical internship. You receive a voucher, valid up to six months, for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) exams.
