Phlebotomy Career Training has put together a medical assistant VSK that will allow the student to practice all of the core requisite skills that they need to learn for their course completion, without having to drive 100 miles or more to a hospital or urgent care.
Phlebotomy Career Training instructors have meticulously put together a Virtual Simulation Kit that includes a practice pad, syringes, needles for intramuscular injections, subcutaneous injections, tuberculin injections as well as ampules, practi-powdered medication for reconstitution, bandages, phlebotomy equipment and much more. There are vacutainer needles and vacutainer hubs, various colored vacutainer tubes, a mini sharps container and just to mention there is also a saline vial.
This VSK is “Loaded” with a cornucopia medical assistant training supplies. There is also a brand new blood pressure cuff and double lumen stethoscope that comes in many brilliant colors.
The Purpose of the Medical Assistant Virtual Simulation Kit
Instructors at Phlebotomy Career Training understand that once the student receives the VSK, they will not know how to use most of the equipment. Therefore, students are advised to schedule a Zoom meeting with their instructor so that they can go over the contents of their VSK and know how to handle the equipment and sharps such as needles correctly and safely.
The Medical Assistant VSK (Virtual Simulation Kit) is not for everyone taking the online medical assistant course. But it is a excellent resource for some students who are not able to get the opportunity to preform hands on training.

Nancy L. Kimmel obtained her PhD in Environmental Engineering in 2002, then went on to teach Physics and Mechanical Engineering at Lawrence Technological University, Henry Ford College and Oakland University. She obtained her Associate in Nursing from Henry Ford College and then went on to earn her Master Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner and became Board Certified working as a licensed FNP in the State of Michigan. She then went on to Medical School where she is now in her 3rd year, and is also in the process of obtaining her Doctorate in Nursing Practice through Chamberlin University. She has authored the NET Study Guide, as well a several books on subjects of Math, ECG/EKG and Phlebotomy. She holds a patent on an Air Filter through the U.S. Patent Office.
