Greetings to all our prospective online students. We wish to tell you about our great online program that includes 4 certifications with 2 at the national level. Enrolled students can now take advantage of earning their phlebotomy certification and then going on to take their national phlebotomy certification. They will also receive their electrocardiogram certification and be ready for their national exam through the NTA (National Telemetry Association).

This is combination of courses include both the Phlebotomy Technician Program which is 170 clock hours and Electrocardiogram Technician which is 60 hours.

Both courses come with a certification from Phlebotomy Career Training and a transcript from our school with the school seal.  The Phlebotomy Career Training certifications do not expire.

Both the National Phlebotomy Exam and the National EKG exam is included in the course.

Students have one attempt at each exam.  Upon passing, students will be awarded national certification from the NAPTP and the NTA.  The national certification must be renewed every two year.  Each certification comes with a unique certification ID number which the student or employer may verify on the respective national website.

Upon registering students will receive a welcome email from their instructor, introducing them to the course and providing helpful attachments such as the NAPTP Study Guide and the NTA EKG study guide, along with practice assignments.

Students may begin the course after they register online.  They may also complete the course in less than six months should they finish early.  There are no mandatory class meeting times.  All course work is online.  The course work consists of pre-recorded classroom videos, clinical demonstration of phlebotomy technique videos as well as EKG lead application as performed by our instructors.

Should students desire to take advantage of Phlebotomy Career Training’s Virtual Clinical they may do so by giving the office a call and submitting an email.  Our new virtual clinical consists of providing students the supplies and training arm to perform their required 30 blood draws on as well as the tourniquet, vacutainer tubes and other supplies.  This phlebotomy kit is shipped at no charge to our students who can show evidence that they have exhausted all attempts at finding a clinical site near their home.  The virtual clinical is only  used as a supplemental option.  Students will graduate upon submitting their recorded videos of their practice blood draws once our instructors have critiqued them.

There is an option for Virtual EKG as well.

Included in this course are the new phlebotomy book in PDF format for the NAPTP and the PDF study guide for the national EKG exam through the NTA. Required for graduation are 40 hours of EKG clinicals and 30 live venipunctures with 5 capillary sticks. Students are expected to find their own externships, but Phlebotomy Career Training will consider signing affiliation agreements should the location which the student finds requests one, as well. Please feel free to contact us for more information, we will be happy to assist you!
