Course Overview

Medical assistants play a vital role in patient care and diagnosis. Their specialized skill set is in high demand in doctor’s offices, hospitals, outpatient centers, and many other medical facilities. If you are interested in getting into healthcare without spending years in school, the medical assistant course may be the perfect fit for you. The CCMA Tier II course offers not one, but 3 certifications.  Students will earn their Clinical Medical Assistant Certification, Phlebotomy Technician Certification, and their Electrocardiogram Certification.

During the 100% in-person course curriculum along with online homework, students will learn many important skills necessary to work as medical assistants, such as taking vital signs, assisting with minor surgeries, performing injections, the technique of blood drawing, and electrocardiograms. They will also become knowledgeable about inpatient management, administrative tasks, HIPAA and OSHA regulations, as well as effective bedside manner and professional conduct.

Upon course completion, students will need to pass the certifying final exams to receive their Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, and Electrocardiogram Certifications. Our in-person classes offer national accrediting exams which allow students to work anywhere in the U.S. and Canada.

Traditional classes meet twice a week for four hours for 7 weeks. After the 7 weeks of class, students will continue for another 7 to 8 weeks to finish their blood draws and prepare for work.
